TGIF

My favourite day of the week...actually, not true.  I like Saturday mornings when we don't have to get up and can sleep in, like this weekend!

- tonight is hockey

- tomorrow there is no hockey, actually no hockey all weekend

- we have a technician coming at some point tomorrow to have a look at our mattress (we bought it only in July and the stupid thing is caving in....they better be replacing it)

- I am keeping Thomas on Saturday night...a little tradition we will start for his birthday.  I will pick him up and take him shopping to pick out his birthday present.

- Maddy has a birthday party in Shawville

- We are going to take Thomas and Tanner to see the Parade of Lights in Shawville

- Sunday I plan on going to Church because we are started to practice our Christmas play.

- We are supposed to get snow on Sunday, so that will be a nice change from the rain we had this week (I know,  I said it)

- Sunday may be a good day to get a start on Christmas baking too....we'll see

- I am also hoping to get some gifts bought this weekend...teacher's and little things at least.

Happy Weekend!

It's Almost December 1

I do not feel ready for Christmas and it is stressing me out a little.

- I need to get some more gifts

- I need to obviously get stocking stuffers

- I need to plan the Cutie and Sophie Adventures

- I need to buy things for dinners (school and home)

- I need to do Christmas baking

- I need teacher gifts

- I have intentions of getting Christmas cards out but that may not happen

- I want a family picture of us with Boomer

- I need to train my dog to not beg and to be calm when everyone gathers at our house for Christmas

However...

- If I actually don't make it to a store between now and then....I have bought the kids their gifts and they know this year is minimal because of the cruise and regardless, they will be happy with what I have gotten them so far.

- I got the kids chocolate advent calendars

- my tree is up

- outdoor lights are up and turned on

As much as I hate to admit this, a little snow would be nice for Christmas.  Right now we are getting rain...and rain makes me grumpy too...

- makes everything muddy

- I have a dog now, I had wet dog smell

- it does not make Christmas decorations look pretty like snow does

So Mother Nature, it would be nice to have a little sprinkling of snow for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning THEN it can snow storm all it wants between January 4th and January 12th while we are cruising to the Caribbean!

{Weekend Rewind}

There were lots of moments for pictures this weekend and as I check my phone this morning, none, sorry!

Friday night was hockey.

Saturday morning we had a hockey game.  Tanner's team did awesome and the end result was 0-0 so woo hoo!  It's so cute to see all the grandparents come out to cheer on these little dudes and dudettes!

We were then supposed to go and sell Girl Guide cookies but Maddy wasn't feeling the greatest, so we opted out and headed home to sleep.  Once we got home though, I had the antsy feeling to get Christmas lights up, so Maddy and I did that outside THEN napped.

Although I was literally in bed and ready for the night, I dragged myself out at 6 pm to head to Jill's for our annual Christmas gathering.  It was a nice group of ladies and we just literally sat around, sipped drinks, snacked on yummy food and then did a gift exchange.  My eyes were sleepy and this princess had to head home around 11 pm  before she turned into a pumpkin.

Sunday morning we were up early enough.  Another busy morning of putting the decorations up on the poles around town (every year we get asked to do this and since it was a nice weekend, we took advantage of it).  I then took off and left them to finish and raced off to Church cuz it was my week to teach Sunday School only to get there and have ZERO kids.  That's okay, it was nice to stay upstairs and hear the whole service.

After Church, Butter and Tracy were at home and we spent the afternoon outside moving the shelter thingy, watching football and then Mom and Dad joined us for a wing supper.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

- I finally got my Christmas groove on...Christmas tree is up and I bought lights for the front porch
- I ordered the kid's school pictures finally so that I can send Christmas cards and get some Christmas gifts ready

- Speaking of gifts, I placed two orders yesterday - Toys R Us for Tanner and some clothes for the cruise for Maddy and I.  I feel better now.  The kids know they aren't getting lots this year because of the cruise, so other than a few clothes pieces for Maddy, I am done!

- Having a spy cam of Boomer during the day a.k.a the Boomer Cam.  I get to check on him throughout the day.  He is confined to the front porch and other than the fact that he lays on the table in there, he doesn't seem to mind it anymore.  He is so excited to see the humans though when we come home!

Boomer Cam
- so the Christmas tree is in the porch - Day 1 (with Ricky home), Boomer managed to take off three ornaments and destroy two of the three.  Day 2, I put a baby gate around it...so far so good.

- we had no Sparks last night which was a nice change. Ricky and the kids went to hockey and I did nothing but a bath and watched A Million Little Things.

- looking forward to our girl's gathering this Saturday night at Jill's - always a nice time to catch up with everyone.

- looking forward to Tanner's second game this Saturday - love cheering them on, it's so cute seeing them out there on the ice.

- went through the car wash yesterday, so refreshing to get all the gunk off a car in the winter

What are you loving today?

{Weekend Rewind}

Blog postings are starting to be just once a week...life is busy I guess
- I worked from home on Thursday because I had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon (I am not dying, entirely)

- I also did baking and prepared my chili for the Craft Sale.

- My cousins Judy and Gina were visiting this weekend from Grimsby, Ontario, so because I was home on Thursday and off Friday, they came for supper.

- Friday I had the day off to get things ready for the Craft Sale.  I ran to the city and did all my running around, then headed to the school to set up and then took Tanner to hockey.

- Saturday was an early morning and at the school for the majority of the day.  The Craft Sale was a success!

- After the Craft Sale, we made an appearance at my sister in law's baby shower - had a good visit with folks

- Took the kids back to the camp to play with the other "camp kids" that were there for supper then the kids stayed back a little longer and my 80 year old body went home for a bath

- BUT not before cleaning up after my dog.  The little bugger got into the garbage, pulled everything off the table and then I go upstairs and he broke into my walk in closet and found my brand new pack of Costco size toilet paper and destroyed it, ugh!

- Sunday we said goodbye the Judy and Gina and Shannon and the kids.  Maddy stayed with Momma, Tanner had a birthday party and I napped while watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

- Monday I was off again for Remembrance Day.  I drove the kids to school then headed to do some blood work and an x-ray on my back.  After the appointments, stopped to see Nanny and Papa quickly then headed home to get my winter tires on.

- I got the kids winter clothing and stuff all out and ready for today's snow.

- I napped while watching Hallmark Christmas movies again and then Mom came over for tacos and chicken lasagna.

- Kids did homework, I had my bath, Maddy and I watched Christmas Break-In on Netflix then called it a night!

{Weekend Rewind}

Friday I worked from home, but that didn't pan out because we didn't have connectivity, so it was a bonus day off for me.  I joined Tanner's class at the local library then he came home with me and we ran to Shawville to get some groceries.

Friday night darts was cancelled, so Maddy came to hockey with us then we headed home and went to bed!

Saturday morning we were up early.  Maddy and I got ready to head to Shawville to sell Scentsy for my sister in law at a craft sale while Tanner headed to Momma's for the day.  The sale was slow and freakin' cold.

When we got home, we had supper at my mom's then the kids and I went home, got hot baths and called it a night.  Ricky came home from the camp at like 9 pm and we were all snoring.

Sunday morning we were up even earlier because of the stupid time change.  I know this one you gain an hour but I find the day goes by sooooo slow.  I hate it.  Because I was up so early, I got soup made and then Maddy and I organized her room and purged some clothes.  My mom came for a coffee and took Tanner with her because Maddy and I were heading to Shannon's to paint for the day.

We got home around 5, baths and snuggled up on the couches and watched A Dog's Purpose and were all in bed watching our tablets at 7 pm.

How was your weekend??
