5 Things Thursday

CANADA DAY

Tonight is the night that our town celebrates Canada Day.  There is normally a BBQ beforehand, then the parade at 7, followed by activities in the park for the kids, music and dancing in the hall and fireworks at 10.

Here are 5 pictures of Canada Day pasts:

What I'm Loving Wednesday

- I am working from home today due to the President of Mexico and President Obama visiting the Capital...where I work, I am smack in the middle of things and work decided to keep us all home today!

In 2009 when Obama was last in Ottawa, he bought a cookie at Le Moulin de Provence in the Market and has since become the Obama Cookie - they are ready with more for this visit and hoping that Obama will remember and stop in.

- tomorrow is the last day of the week - Canada Day is Friday

- today I am able to run and get blood work done

- tomorrow night is our town's Canada Day festivities

- that Tanner was a better boy last night, this past weekend and Monday he was a terror, like really bad.  He has been rude and just throwing things, getting upset and having tantrums...I guess I missed the "terrible twos" and now dealing with the "effin' fours"

- new neighbours, I talked about meeting them on the weekend, it's nice to have nice neighbours (and not have to worry about kids hanging on the street and getting hit)

- my dad's 60th birthday party is pretty much done being planned, FINALLY

- tomorrow is pay day

- busy days at work make for quick days

- Pretty Little Liars

- Backstreet Boys are teaming up with Florida Georgia Line with a song that will debut August 26th (I am not that excited, but I know my sister will enjoy this)

Happy Hump Day All

Tuesday Randoms

It's been a while that I have gone random, so today is that day!

- we eat Sugar Crisp at home as a snack (no milk) and I dare you to have a bit of Sugar Crisp then when you go pee, it will smell like Sugar Crisp...seriously!

- Ricky is going fishing this weekend, leaving Thursday after work and not back until Monday...I hope my sanity holds up being alone with the kids (haha)

- Ricky's truck is being temper mental these days...it appears he may have an electric short on one side of the truck - the back passenger door doesn't want to lock electronically, the window won't go up or down if the door is open and now the speaker in that door doesn't work when the door is open...eek.  It's at the shop for the week and hoping it doesn't cost too much

- I have had a lingering headache for the last three days...certain times of the day it's worse but it just seems to always be there...not sure if it's the heat or tired...maybe a combination of both...but I am trying to up my intake of water.

- Adventures in Babysitting was my favourite movie growing up...I introduced it to Maddy and she enjoyed it...well while watching Big Brother I saw that they have a new version of this and it was playing on Disney Family all weekend...so naturally I pvr'd it...can't wait to watch it.

- Tomorrow is going to be chaotic downtown where I work...basically every street is closed all day due to a summit which will include Obama visiting Canada...I was going to work from home, but I think I should be okay to get in and there is a way that I can get out.

- I need to get blood work done end of June...I don't think that's going to happen seeing how it's already the 28th.  I'll go during the holidays in July.

- I made this salad on the weekend (of course I just made a smaller version) but I have to say, it was yummy!

- I think we have decided that we are just going to do the Toronto Zoo while in Toronto - no aquarium this trip...we'll come home and do a few day trips!

Happy Tuesday!

Weekly Review

- met some Unisys folks for lunch on Wednesday at the Royal Oak

- Maddy went to Sophie's on Thursday then we took the kids to see Finding Dory

5 Things Thursday

5 Summer Eats (and drinks)

Something about these just scream SUMMER

(1) Watermelon - red, juicy seedless watermelon, especially on picnics

(2) Rocket popsicles - I love the red, white and blue popsicles

(3) Slush Puppies - when I am really hot and thirsty, I want a real Slush Puppy, blue raspberry please!

(4) Subs - when it's too hot to cook, a nice fresh bun with cold cuts is the answer to supper
(5) Ice Cream - with a new ice cream shoppe in our town, we tend to visit it weekly...sometimes more than once.  I love trying something different every time

What I'm Loving Wednesday

- that the network is working this week...Friday was a long day with no Internet and no email...what the heck did we do before it?

- the rain storm we got on Monday night...I think they are soothing and I love listening to the rain on the tin roof...what I didn't like was when it started alerting us of a potential tornado - eek, thankfully it passed quickly and gave us a nice watering (just in time cuz it's been dry)

- today is Maddy's last day of school which means no more lunches to be made...woo hoo (except ours)

- the reason her last day is today and not tomorrow is cuz we are pulling her - she is going to spend the day at Sophie's then we are going to take them to see Finding Dory!

- my sunburns I got over the weekend aren't even sore one bit

- that my mom is available to watch the kids when needed, my daycare was closed Monday so she kept Tanner and again on Friday

- that I am almost done watching the Secret Life of a Teenager (or whatever it's actually called) on Netflix.

- the neighbours moved out on the weekend - woo hoo (now, here's to hoping the new tenants are better)

- my dad's birthday party is finally confirmed and underway

- Tanner's explanations on farts.  Apparently when he farts, it smells but we didn't hear it...he calls those "toots" not farts.

- Maddy received a prize from the Women's Institute for her essay on Church that she wrote.  I am so proud and so is her great nanny who was very involved with the Women's Institute

I'm Just Fat

Last Wednesday after soccer, as usual, we went to the local store for our weekly ice cream treat.  I was standing outside eating my crispy crunch razzle when a lady (that I hardly even know from a hole in the ground) came over and said "Stacy, you have another bun in the oven?".  I didn't even make eye contact with her, I shoved another spoonful of razzle in my mouth and said "nope, just FAT".  I thought at this point, if the roles were reversed, I would have walked away, embarrassed.  Nope, she stood there and continued..."Oh (chuckle), I thought you were pregnant".  Really lady, come on, just walk away.  I shook my head no (still eating away at my razzle).  She then says "oh...maybe it's the way you are standing" and walked into the store.  OMG, seriously!

I have heard of people doing this but thankfully had never been asked that question.  I do have a belly, I am aware of that and certain things I wear, I do feel that I look pregnant but usually I prepare myself and suck it in and ensure that I don't look pregnant so that I don't get asked.  For example, wearing a long dress that is more fitted, I feel pregnant in it so when I get in the elevator at work, I make sure and cover my mid section with my purse or sweater, or I suck it in.

To make matters even worse (and well it was funny) - the other day at the Sunday School picnic, I had literally just told a bunch of other mom's about this incident.  I went and changed into my new bathing suit (attempting a one piece bathing suit so that I am not letting this belly hang out in a bikini) and I go in the pool with the kids for a bit.  I get out, and I am walking around when my friend Jill gets out...she reached for my belly like she was going to rub it, like she was going to rub a pregnant belly.  I stopped in my tracks and was like "WTH, were you just going to rub my belly?".  Jill felt bad I know but she was like "I don't know, it was like an instinct"

I think this has made me aware of it even more and I think I should start working those ab muscles and stomach exercises!!

Happy Tuesday!

{Weekend Rewind}

Friday we were done work early, due to the fact that I had no email or no Internet all day...so after a Korean lunch with my sister, Ricky and I headed out.  We could only pick Tanner up after nap and since there were no movies that we both wanted to see, we decided to just browse Walmart.  I bought the kids a Slip n' Slide to keep at my parents and Ricky bought them each a water gun.  Once Tanner was picked up, we went to my parents for supper.  The kids tested out the new water toys and they were Maddy and Tanner approved.

Saturday morning we were up early enough and I started on some laundry and cleaning.  I washed the bathrooms both down which felt good but at the same time, I broke more of our tub surround (good news, the landlord stopped by and we are getting a new one).  I dropped Maddy off at a friend's birthday party and continued cleaning.  We decided to invite ourselves to my sister in law's to BBQ some steaks and headed down there after the birthday party.  The kids brought their Slip n Slide again and they also filled up the little pool.  We headed home early cuz Ricky was going to my grandparents to play cards. The kids and I hit the hay early.

Sunday was Father's Day and we didn't even see Ricky.  He was up at 5 am to head out to meet a friend to go fishing.  I guess that was his Father's Day gift: a day off.  Haha!  The kids and I got our things together and headed to church service in Lindsay and Ryan's garage.  After a rather quick service, we had a yummy BBQ and potluck then we all jumped in the pool to cool off.  Even I went in for a bit.  After a nice swim, we headed home and hung out most of the afternoon at the neighbours before grabbing chipstand supper and bed early.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

- the nicer weather is upon us again...last weekend was so cold, I had to bring out my winter coat...this week, kids are back in shorts!

- Maddy is participating in the Regionals today for Track and Field.  She is doing High Jump and Softball Throw - GO ONSLOW GO!!

- tomorrow I am off to join Maddy and her school on their year end trip to Patro...looking forward to it.

- it's a quieter week at work

- I thought I was coming down with something over the weekend, but I am feeling a bit better (except for a sore ear)

- this weekend we are having our annual Sunday School picnic...looking forward to swim time and yummy potluck!

- today is pay day (not loving that they forgot to take off my pension deductions so for the next four pays, I am having an additional $225 deducted...blech)

- that school is almost done and NO MORE LUNCHES to be made (for Maddy anyways)

- that we are working with Tanner on his speech and he is improving already with his "S" sounds.  He used to say "Dophie" and now when he says it we say "pardon, who's house" and he goes "SSSSSSSSSSophie".  We told him with S's, he has to make a sssss like a snake sound.  Seems to be working.

- other than the Sunday School picnic, no plans for Saturday.  Ricky may be heading to a friends camp to play cards

So Much Hate

On Sunday morning we awoke to breaking news all over the radios, TV and Twitter.  There had been a mass shooting at a night club killing 50 and injuring something like 53 others.  I realize that this isn't close to home but it hits home nevertheless.  It is so sad that there is so much hatred in the world these days.  Later on, it was reported that the night club was a gay bar, which brings on a whole different scenario.  I know people who are gay and they aren't treated any different...why do people have to hate and cause this crap?

This was the worst mass killing in US history and considering that this happens more and more every day, it's scary.  Here in Canada, we don't always hear of such attacks mainly due to our gun laws BUT there is crime all over.  In the last year, pretty much every morning we wake up to hear of a shooting in Ottawa.  That is scary in itself.  I realize that most of the time, it's targeted and gang related, but there are times that an innocent bystander, or a person that just happened to be in the "wrong place at the wrong time" has been killed or injured.

I look around and I am so thankful that we live in a small town (I am not saying that things like this can't happen in a small town, because believe me, they do).  I look around in the city every day, I see kids walking to school by themselves, and I can't even imagine Maddy walking the streets of Quyon alone, let alone Aylmer or Ottawa.  I think growing up in a small town all my life has made me scared of the "big city".  When I am in the city and it's dark, I am scared.  I am scared driving through down town at night time, scared that I am going to be involved in a drive by shooting (like in the movies)...my friends used to laugh at me, but in reality, it could happen, because it is happening more and more.  I hate walking the streets at night and as soon as I get in a car when it's dark, I lock my doors immediately.  I am a chicken shit, but that's okay!

How do you explain all this hate to your kids?  Maddy asked questions and we explained what was going on - what had happened.  I don't want my kids scared like me, but I want them to be aware of what is around them - what is going on.  It's so sad that we see this sort of violence every day.  It's like at home, Tanner will be playing with his Nerf guns and stuff and will say "I am going to shoot you" - I get that he is joking, but I always tell him "we don't say that bud, I know you are playing but that is not polite".  I get that he is 4 and just playing, but I don't want him saying this at school or daycare...these days, you will get a consequence and I totally agree with it.

Kids are exposed to so much these days.  Last year in the Fall, near Halloween, we woke up one morning and our house had been egged.  I realize this isn't anything compared to guns and shooting, but I was concerned.  Later on, Maddy comes home from school and says that a little boy in her class did it - he told her.  What?  This weekend, Ricky was explaining to Maddy about the Internet and viruses and stuff (because he claims that it was her games that lead to his hard drive crashing) and he was explaining how hackers can get into your computer and especially kids, they click on something that they shouldn't be and that could immediately kill the computer.  Well Maddy proceeds to tell us that a boy at her school is a hacker. Excuse me?  He's 9, but in all honesty, I sort of believed her.  How sad is that?

Anyways, it's sad that this had to happen.  That 50 innocent people were killed this weekend. It's so sad listening to stories of mother's waiting to hear if their child was one of the ones claimed after not hearing from them.  I can't even begin to imagine.

Everyone pray for this violence to stop!

{Weekend Rewind}

I am so sleepy today from watching the PENS win the Stanley Cup last night, no not really, but they did win - I am just sleepy cuz it's Monday.

Friday after work, the kids and I grabbed something quick to eat then heading up the road to the Grand Opening of the Bristol Market.  I am looking forward to this being so close to home once the fresh veggies start.  This trip we walked away with some apple crisp, apple cider, some freshly squeezed lemonade and I tried some Pad Thai (not a fan by the way). When we finished there, we met Ricky up at my grandparents for cards.

They also had face painting as part of their Grand Opening!

Saturday morning was rainy and cold.  We didn't have much planned other than supper that evening so we basically stayed at home and just cleaned up, watched shows and caught up on laundry while watching Zootopia (cute movie).  Around 2:45, we packed up and headed to the city.  Lindsay was watching Tanner, so we dropped him off there and I knew he was going to be in good hands and would have a ball.  We met family at Lonestar to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday then headed home.  I was sure Tanner was going to be sleeping when we got him but he was still wide awake...but it didn't take him long to crash once we got home.  I wasn't feeling the greatest (stomach issues due to what I think is Listeria...we have been eating recalled sunflower seeds haha) so it was bed as soon as we got home.

Homemade pizza's for supper at Lindsay's...Tanner's fave!
Sunday morning was really windy and looked like it was going to be a crappy day again.  I had to wake Tanner up at 9:30 am to get him ready for church - I guess Sam and Lindsay pooped him out, he has never slept that late.  We headed to Church, made invitations for the upcoming Sunday School picnic and then had a chipstand lunch.  We lazed around home for about an hour before getting bundled up (I seriously took out winter coats, mitts and tuques) and we headed to the bridge to watch the duck falls.  This is a fundraiser in our town where people buy a ticket with a number and then the ducks all get dumped off one bridge, we walk along the trail and the first three to go into the "gate" at the end win first, second and third prize.  After the ducks were in, the Lions had some kids activities going on and a BBQ.  We didn't win the duck race unfortunately, but we didn't walk away empty handed either.  Maddy won a $25 gift certificate to Cineplex and Tanner won a Nerf gun.  We headed home, had supper and were in bed early (except Ricky, who was up watching his PENS win the final game and take home the Stanley Cup...and I won second place in the hockey pool).

Maddy and Tanner with the ducks!

How was your weekend?

Weekly Review

- seriously thought about digging out the winter clothes this week....brrrr it has been cold, especially at t-ball and soccer

- if traffic wasn't bad enough, let's add a sinkhole...yep, that happened on Wednesday (the day I was supposed to walk right into that area)

- after 10 years, our laptop has finally died!  The hard drive went on it.  Thankfully I backed most of the stuff up.  Ricky bought a new one yesterday.

- feeling very sleepy and most nights we were all in bed very early

- I got my new bathing suit, a size larger than the last one I ordered...and well as I suspected, fits me everywhere but the boobs, BUT I am keeping it...meh, I'll just watch when I bend over

-I may have bribed my kid this week by saying "if you don't eat your supper, no visit with Sam on Saturday" - bahaha!

- the pens could have been done last night but they did not win...come on Stanley Cup on Sunday (for my pool and for Ricky's sanity)

Have a good weekend!

5 Things Thursday

5 Things I Am Pondering This Week

(1) Why does the city have to decide to do construction all in one area? I work downtown and it's a mess right now and it's not going to get better.  It's all in the works for the LRT so it's like a year of this.  A couple of weeks ago they made Queen street a one way (which is where my parking garage is) and this week, they closed Bank in one direction and it's a one way now going northbound AND Kent is also a mess.  I basically have to leave early just to make sure I get over the bridge to Ricky...something that used to take me 5 minutes, is taking me like 15 mins now zigzagging on all these different streets trying to get to my destination.

(2) Why is all our food getting recalled?  Last week they recalled a bunch of granola bars because of the sunflower seeds or something possibly contaminated with listeria.  Well I had those granola bars, so I chucked them.  Then they recalled Spitz sunflower seeds and of course, the two flavours that we are currently obsessed with.  In all honesty though, I didn't through those out because I was like "meh, how mad can listeria be?"...well all jokes put aside, we are second guessing if we actually may have it.  Last week Ricky was sick, diarrhea and vomitting and he said it was only after he ate the sunflower seeds (when I was like ya okay there, you always eat them, you can't just start getting sick now) but then Sunday night I was up all night with diarrhea and my muscles are sore (which is a symptom) - but we are just self diagnosing!  Ha!

(3) Why do protests have to start at 7 am?  I am okay with protests - we see a lot of them in the downtown core...BUT I am not a fan of them blocking my way at 7 am in the morning when I am trying to get to work.  On Monday morning we heard on the radio that Hull was being closed due to a protest.  And where was it going?  Of course, where I was going.  I dropped Ricky off at work and the protestors were going past his work.  I was able to get to the light and eventually turn to take the "other" bridge, the one that wasn't being blocked at the moment.  I flew across and was like YES!  Then I got stopped going into the downtown core because they have met up with me, and now all these indians riding horses were going by with a fleet of police following.  Of course, this made me late!

(4) Who will run for Councillor in our Ward in town?  We really need someone that will fight for us.  We need someone that will take down the posse that is currently sitting on the municipal council.  We need someone with balls...and big ones at that!

(5) When will my child ever start speech therapy?  We have been trying to get Tanner into speech therapy for some time now.  It was advised to us during his three year old evaluation...but of course there is a waiting list.  That was okay with us though.  We got a call back in the Fall to have an appointment but I had just started my new job, I had just been off and didn't want to have to excuse myself from work again so I asked for a new date and she said she would put me back on the list.  Friday, I got the call again but of course, it's the Monday that we are leaving for Toronto.  Seriously? I feel so stupid having to postpone it again.  I left her a message this morning saying that I couldn't take that appointment but I could meet later in the week, perhaps at another location.  So we'll see.  I don't think it's crucial he sees her but I think it would be nice to have an opinion.  Monday morning he was trying to tell us something and he kept saying "Sue", that's what it sounded like and we kept asking him to repeat and he gets so frustrated.  I get it, he knows what he's trying to say but we don't understand.  We try to tell him that we are trying to understand so to keep saying it...finally, after guessing SuitSueShoe? Ricky finally said Zoo and he was like YES!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

- that I may not have been "blocked" from the Action Pontiac site on purpose, it may have been a slip of a finger...so they tell me!  I was given the list of admins and I know two of them and I don't think I have done anything to upset them...waiting to be "unblocked".

- this weekend we are heading to Lonestar - haven't been there in ages!

- hoping to leave the kids or at least Tanner home...I enjoy a meal much better when I don't have to fight with kids, or at least Tanner.  Any takers?  LOL

- thinking of summer vacation and well plans keep changing...we're not one to deal with traffic and parking woes, so we may skip out of the Ripley's Aquarium this trip...

- during this trip, we may stop in and visit a cousin that lives only 5 mins from where we are staying.  I have her on Facebook but I seriously don't think I have seen her since her uncle's wedding and she was a teenager then and I was just a kid...I remember it so clearly though.

- still loving my David's tea...I need another trip to the store to stock up on Peach and Mango Fruit Punch, the only ones I actually like and enjoy.

- my new bathing suit should be in this week...I loved the one I ordered however, the small was a wee tight...so I ordered a medium but I am worried my boobs won't fit in...#smallboobproblems

- Tanner's excitement when he saw a red strawberry on our plants...I laughed cuz when I bought it, I picked that one specifically for that red, ripe strawberry so I felt that I actually grew something (even though I didn't)

- I am in second place in the hockey pool and I am only 7 away from first...I could still catch up but Ricky says no because tomorrow night, Pens are back at home and they are going to win it all and take the cup!  Oh well, second is better than none!

Happy Hump Day!

Netflix

We have had Netflix for some time but I never really paid much attention until I was bored at work at my last job and they gave me permission to watch it!  YAY!  I became so addicted to some of the shows I had started that I started to bring my tablet to bed with me and it was part of my daily bedtime regime.

I think in total, I have actually watched like 5 movies on Netflix and they were likely with Maddy. Ricky isn't one to re-watch movies.  I do enjoy the TV series though but it feels like I am in a stump right now.  Below is the list of the shows that I have started, finished, hated etc.

- Gilmore Girls: loved and completed

- Friends: loved and completed

- Heartland: loved and completed and waiting for new episodes...

- Grey's Anatomy: loved and completed and waiting for new episodes...

- The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: loved Season 1 and was waiting anxiously for  Season 2...it came available, I watched it but didn't enjoy nearly as much as the first season.

- Switched at Birth: started but wasn't really getting into it

- The Mindy Project: loved and completed and waiting for new episodes...

- Orange is the New Black: tried and couldn't get passed episode 1, may try it again

- Dawson's Creek - loved and completed

- Life Unexpected: loved it but I don't think it plays anymore

- Nashville: loved it and completed and waiting for new episodes...

- Covert Affairs: tried 1 episode and didn't try again

- Homeland: tried on a few occasions...I think I can like this one, just not one to be playing in the background while I am doing something

- Being Erica: tried two seasons...then left it

- Scandal: loved and completed and waiting for new episodes...

- The Secret Life of Teenager: started this a while back and now this is my bedtime show, pretty lame and most parts drive me in sane, but it's okay

- Fuller House: loved and completed, waiting for new episodes

- Grace and Frankie: just started this when I have spare time at work and it's okay!

- Suits: I have tried this a couple of times and can't get into it, but again, it's one that I have to pay attention to.

- How To Get Away with Murder: started this and have tried a few times to get back into it, but I can't seem to catch on to it.  I think I have to start over.

- The Good Witch: just started this at work, giving Grace and Frankie a break and I like this because I had watched The Good Witch movies once on W network, so I know about it

That's a pretty long list and I am probably missing some but these are what I remember.

It's really weird, when I log in at work, there are some shows that aren't even available to me that I watch at home...strange...so basically I have a show for work and a show for bedtime.

What are you watching??

Weekly Review

This week...

- it seems that I can't get enough sleep, I go to bed early and wake up still so sleepy

- we went from +40 to like -40 overnight (a bit of exaggeration I suppose, but it was humid and hot one day and the next night for t-ball we were in coats, sweaters and long johns, again slight exaggeration on the long johns)

- been snacking on these babies:
- I walked to Rideau (usually I hop on the bus)

- I spent $107 on tea (half of it was for Lindsay though lol)

- we saw a bear in a yard almost in town

- I was told that they are going to keep me at work (I was on a probation period for 12 months) and that he wants me to travel a bit...first stop may be Halifax in September for Defsec

- I spent my $70 gift card on a new bathing suit (hoping it fits), a new car adapter for the kid's portable DVD players and Coat of Many Colors DVD

- Took the kids to t-ball and soccer

- was blocked from a group on Facebook (I can't search for it but a friend says it's still there...Action Pontiac - and I didn't even do anything...bahaha)

- laughed when I read our local newspaper and saw that my Nanny (95 years old) sent in this notice...

she tells it like it is!  I would like to see her walk into a council meeting...can they put a 95 year old in jail?? HAHA!

Happy Friday - enjoy your weekend!

5 Things Thursday

5 Things That The Kids Says/Do That Makes Us Laugh

(1) Tanner has been lying lately...for example, one day Maddy came upstairs and her Shopkins were missing...she asked him where they were and he had his goofy smile and said "me don't know what you talking about"...this went on for a bit and I finally asked him and he gave me the same response.  I said "Tanner, if you are lying to Mom, you won't come with us to Momma's for supper".  He smiled and said "Okay, me lying, they are behind the couch"...little bugger, but you can't help but laugh.

(2) Maddy knows that when Ricky drinks too much and doesn't have a "base in his tummy" (like food), he is likely going to be sick all night...so if he is drinking, she is constantly on his case asking how many he has had.  He is only allowed to have 5, according to her.  It seems that he is on Number 4 A LOT.

(3) When we pick Tanner up from daycare, I always try to ask him how his day is, what he ate etc...but he wants nothing to do with it.  He used to just ignore me altogether and watch whatever was playing on the DVD player but now that the DVD player is on the bum, he has no distraction.  His reply almost every day is "me, not eat anything - Dophie not feed me" which is of course a TOTAL LIE...our daycare provides homemade meals and snacks all day!  It just makes us laugh.

(4) A couple years ago we were at Lonestar for supper.  To keep the kids entertained during a busy hour, the waiter brought over one of the dough balls that they use to make the tortilla wraps.  After we were done supper, Maddy brought her dough ball home and after a couple of hours, the dough obviously was starting to harden.  Maddy felt it and her response was "oh Mom, you should feel this, it feels like Nanny Brouse's cheeks" (shhh, we won't tell Nanny about this haha).

(5) This one may disgust some of you...but Tanner loves me picking his nose.  If he feels boogers, he will come to me and ask me to pick his nose.  This doesn't matter where we are or what time it is.  He usually wakes me up in the night to pick his nose.  Beats having him picking his nose himself and eating it, right?  Haha!
